If you expect to rank in 2015/2016, you have got to have a quality website with something to offer your user. Google has made it so SEO tactics of before are no longer recognized, and rankings now are based on quality, merit, social proof, and authority.

At the cornerstone of any SEO campaign is on-page SEO. This guide is a comprehensive tutorial to learning on-page SEO, meaning it requires a great detail of technical experience already. Yes, it will cover all of the basics such as title tags and meta descriptions, but I will also delve into some of the more technical aspects of on-page SEO such as structured data, rel=canonical, and JavaScript.

This tutorial is intended for SEO consultants, in-house SEO’s, those working at SEO agencies, and anyone in general looking to learn more about SEO.
I wrote this book on on-page SEO because I could not find a book on this subject that I would recommend to a friend. There are a number of guides scattered throughout the web that come close, but I am yet to find a comprehensive guide on the subject.

This is my first self-published book, so please bear with me. I've written the book, designed it, edited it and proof-read it myself. My secondary motivation for this book is for the experience, I really wanted to learn what it was like to self-publish an eBook from start to finish.

I can't tell you how many times I've agreed with Pat on and off the SEO forums where active SEO's get together for die hard discussion about SEO. These guys are some of the most passionate and determined SEO's on the planet and right at the top of my list would be the author of the book. In it you will find a very easy way to clear up any confusion about the who-said-what-works about SEO. This stuff works, it's timeless. This book will save you a lot of the hassles and frustrations that Pat had endured when SEO started to see significant changes in 2010. Pat knew he has to adapt or die and what you will find in this book is exactly what he did to stay ranking in the SERPS.

Whether you're an amateur that's trying to figure out how to go about on-page SEO properly or an advanced SEO that is willing to learn a few new things, this book is well worth it. I knew a thing or two about SEO in general, but On-Page was always tricky. I've implemented many of the things I learned in this book on a pretty large e-commerce site and within a week we saw a major increase in long-tail keyword traffic which resulted in thousands of dollars in revenue. Not bad for $4.99, I'd say!

HELPED MY BUSINESS!

I don't consider myself to be an SEO but it is definitely an industry that I've been learning about for a while. Obviously anyone who uses a website to do any type of business should know as much as possible and I was lucky enough to get a copy of this book before it was on Amazon. Is well written and the topics are very well explained, some of it was a bit advanced but most of it is suitable for beginners. Duefinitely recommend this to anyone looking to learn SEO.

About the Author
ROB MARSH was born and bred in Wolverhampton, England and graduated from Manchester University with a Bachelor of Education degree in 1973. In 1976 he relocated to Zambia in order to take up a teaching post. He moved to Cape Town in 1979, which is where his writing career took off. He currently resides in Johannesburg. He has been a full-time writer since 1993 and is the author of 22 published books – both fiction and non-fiction – and more than 300 radio programs. He has a special interest in matters crime-related, and is the author of both Famous South African Crimes (Struik) and With Criminal Intent: the changing face of crime in South Africa (Ampersand Press).

Rob Marsh has done his adopted country an enormous favour, not only by exposing certain past crimes, but by presenting us with a new and perplexing antihero in the form of Captain Russell Kemp, a man whose conscience has saboutaged a once-promising career and his personal life as well. This is Rob Marsh's second crime novel and he is working on a third: "eager anticipation" is the cliche that springs to mind.

Amidst the violent racism prevalent at the turn of the twentieth century, African American cultural elites, struggling to articulate a positive black identity, developed a middle-class ideology of racial uplift. Insisting that they were truly representative of the race's potential, black elites espoused an ethos of self-help and service to the black masses and distinguished themselves from the black majority as agents of civilization; hence the phrase 'uplifting the race.'

A central assumption of racial uplift ideology was that African Americans' material and moral progress would diminish white racism. But Kevin Gaines argues that, in its emphasis on class distinctions and patriarchal authority, racial uplift ideology was tied to pejorative notions of racial pathology and thus was limited as a force against white prejudice.

Drawing on the work of W. E. B. Du Bois, Anna Julia Cooper, Alice Dunbar-Nelson, Hubert H. Harrison, and others, Gaines focuses on the intersections between race and gender in both racial uplift ideology and black nationalist thought, showing that the meaning of uplift was intensely contested even among those who shared its aims. Ultimately, elite conceptions of the ideology retreated from more democratic visions of uplift as social advancement, leaving a legacy that narrows our conceptions of rights, citizenship, and social justice.

Around the turn of the century, between the dying hopes of Reconstruction and the ardent desires of the civil rights movement was uplift, an ideology whereby African American elites believed they could earn respect--and rights--by adopting bourgeois mores. In his first three chapters, Gaines, a scholar of history and African American studies at Princeton, outlines some of the problems and concerns of uplift ideology, and while much of it is intriguing, his biggest beef often seems to be that uplift was not ahead of its time, being neither feminist enough nor sufficiently concerned with the needs of the lower classes. In the six remaining chapters, Gaines offers illustrations through profiles of African Americans. There's Paul Laurence Dunbar, whose dialect poems appealed to whites by continuing stereotypes; W.E.B. Du Bois, whose The Philadelphia Negro tried to reconcile the ideology of self-help with the realities of racism. There are ``race men and women'' who demean the lower classes, and African American men who ignore the plight of women while suffragists ignore the plight of African Americans. In the early chapters, Gaines sexualizes too much without enough substantiation (``the mammy stereotype... provided whites with a forgiving image of maternal black womanhood that released them from a guilty awareness of black women as victims of rape by white men''). But by the end, readers will be left with a much more subtle understanding of the sad paradox of uplift, of African Americans trying to belong to a society that was defined in part by their exclusion.

Modern idealism for the African American Culture

Kevin Gaines does a remarkable job in identify the problems that face many African Americans living in the Twentieth Century. His studies is focused around the Civil Right Era where you have powerful leaders involved with the "Black Freedom Movement." Noted key players are Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey. His arguements are based around the problems in the South and the violation of civil and human rights. The Federal and local (Southern) governments are the key institutions that supported the unjust treatment of African Americans for over many centuries. Gaines seem to argue that if there is a change in the way politics are incorporated in the poor black communities to help build a middle/working class society then the poverty rate would decrease and race would not be a barrier.

About the Author
John Suchocki obtained his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University, which was followed by a two year postdoctorate in pharmacology at the Medical College of Virginia. He taught chemistry at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and then at Leeward Community College, where he received tenure and was highly active in the development of distance learning programs and student-centered learning curricula. In addition to writing Conceptual Chemistry, John is also the chemistry and astronomy coauthor of the college and high school editions of Conceptual Physical Science and Conceptual Integrated Science with physicist Paul Hewitt and others. John is currently an adjunct faculty member at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont. He also produces science education multimedia through his company, Conceptual Productions (www.CPro.cc), writes and illustrates award-winning children’s books featuring hands-on science activities (www.Styraki.com), and produces music through his recording label (www.CProMusic.com).

refreshing - fills a glaring void

for what it is, this text is actually quite good. so let's be clear. it is NOT intended for a high school chemistry course, and it is NOT intended for any sort of science major. but not everyone taking a chemistry course is a chemistry major or even a science major. there's this little thing that all colleges and universities have, usually called something like a "distribution of studies" requirement, which demands that all students take a minimum number of credits in areas far from their major, in the hope that their education be more well-rounded. that is the type of course for which this text is intended; a terminal intro college course, and for THAT purpose, it is very well conceived and very well executed.

basic arithmetic skills and especially problem-solving skills are shockingly bad, even among the science majors in college today. and having taught a "chemistry for poets" course more than once, i can say with some authority that the students typically enrolled in such a class (english, business, philosophy, psych majors, etc) are absolutely incapable of solving problems which require any arithmetic skills above finger-counting. but chemistry, like any science, is not just about number crunching. it is, at its heart, conceptual. and it is not necessary to torture non-science majors with useless and pointless exercises in algebra in order to explain the concepts that underlie those computations. in fact, it is a relief to find a text that is refreshingly devoid of the minutiae of chemistry, and instead focused upon the clarity and intuitiveness of the explanations of physical and chemical phenomena. descriptive chemistry. three cheers to the author for filling a glaring need.

the only negative comment i would make is one that i would apply to virtually every other text i have seen in the past 30 years, and is directed at the publisher - it is outrageously overpriced. but since higher education is now a profit-driven enterprise rather than a standards driven pursuit, gouging the students (parents) is now common practice, and sadly will remain so for the foreseeable future. this is particularly offensive for the type of course for which this book is intended. in all likelihood, these students will never take another chemistry course, and they will NOT be wanting to keep their text as a future reference book. it's a disposable text, and should be priced accordingly. the good news is that this is the fourth edition, and sane professors may adopt an earlier edition, and allow their students to buy used copies which can be had for under $10.

Previously, the retired British prime minister wrote--and wrote pugnaciously--about her long tenure in the premiership in The Downing Street Years (1993). Now Thatcher fills in, chronologically speaking, by writing about her life prior to becoming prime minister and after she left office and does so, perhaps, even more self-righteously. Born "over the shop" (her father's grocery, that is) in 1925 in Grantham, England, Thatcher was raised in a household "practical, serious and intensely religious." Those qualities became her qualities, and by the time she got to Oxford, she recognized politics as her calling. She threw her hat into the ring early, running for Parliament when only in her twenties. By nature conservative, she was by enlistment a Conservative. The path by which she became head of that party and then prime minister is traced in typical Thatcher fashion: her narrative is opinionated, self-assured, and, as the reader has to admit, well reasoned. A road less travelled...

In this book, the prequel to her more successful (and essentially more interesting) volume entitled 'The Downing Street Years', Margaret Thatcher gives us a glimpse into her life, and the events and people who shaped her, basically, who made her who she is.
You'll learn about her time at university, her early days in politics from a personal standpoint (for instance, she used to do her own ironing to press dresses immediately before going out, as she couldn't afford to have them pressed, and other small details like this abound), early days in the government and then leading up to the time in opposition prior to the elections of 1979.
Thatcher also adds a postscript to this book, completed after the account of her time as Prime Minister, in which she gives her prescriptions for a better Britain and Europe (in some ways, she might agree that her stance on the Eurocurrency is a la Nancy Reagan, i.e., 'Just say No!'). She has a few swipes at John Major, the man she helped into power, perhaps hoping to be able to be an active and effective agent from behind the scenes. Major retaliates a bit in his own autobiography.
In all, unless you're REALLY into British politics or Thatcher personally, this book could be easily missed. Read 'The Downing Street Years', and, as I've seen you can often pick this book up for some bargain-bin price, buy it so as to have the set. And you might peruse a chapter here and there.
It does have a good style of writing, but goes on quite a bit. Historians will appreciate it, but I often wonder if politicians think that most will actually read through all this material, considering they are invariably written when the author is off the centre stage?

Margaret aced the test and studied chemistry at Oxford before becoming a tax lawyer and politician. Thatcher stood up to the coal miners, stood up to the unions, and stood up for Britain. So very much is hidden.

What makes a book interesting is the emotional content of the story. Mrs Thatcher wants to avoid that. It is not entirely possible. But by judicious pilling on of verbiage she manages very well.

You will have to admit after working your way through it that the last 30% is just padding that says a lot but tells you nothing.

What is interesting is the level of intellectual division there is to Mrs. Thatcher. She is a Conservative, therefore she loves the monarchy and is big on the idea of how important her father was to her life. However it is worth noting that Mrs thatcher is the one prime minister who had the worst relations with the queen, and everything she did personally after she reached adulthood was an inversion of his principles. She was raised one way, she raised her children in an exactly opposite manner. Her father was a methodist and the Thatcher household was notorious for the level of alcohol consumed. She was a Conservative, but also she was the most revolutionary leader since Disraeli.

What makes this an interesting book is the level of internal conflict in her mind. This from a lady mostly notorious for "knowing her own mind" on everything.

It is obvious that the lessons taught by Alf Roberts to his younger daughter stood her in good stead. She was a hard worker and sweated all the details every step of the way. That is how she reached the top. She had no patience for those around her who didn't work as hard as she did. This sort of explains her very good relations with many Labour party leaders who had similar work habits, and the poisonous relations for several Conservative party leaders who tried to coast on manner and privilege.

What makes an autobiography worth while is the confessions along the way. Like President Grant she makes no bones that in her early days she made lots of mistakes and she learned several lessons the hard way. Like with General Grant, she often explains the lesson learned. For many people the lessons she took from an event are not ones they would take from the same circumstances. But they explain many of the responses to events over her time in office. For example, the Heath cabinet was notable for its Comity. Comity that lead them into destruction. The Thatcher governments were chiefly notable for their level of quarrelsomeness all through the eleven years she ran the country.

As with any autobiography as much is explained even more is obscured. There are definite places she does not want to visit. Which is an interesting insight in itself.

One of the delights of the book is the level of dry humor involved. She makes many wry observations all through the book. They are a very nice dividend.

So on balance, I would recommend the book for its wit, the way is reveals and sometimes reveals through concealment the levers that motivated one of the most interesting leaders of the modern era. If you pick it up with your eyes and mind open it will explain a lot and you will get a lot out of it.

"It all worked fine for me, but I knew it wasn't normal."
*sigh* One of my favorite lines I've read in forever. Maybe because it's the quiet, accepting way Ali says it, realizing she is different. Maybe it's the heartbreaking way she is outside, looking in, with her neighbors, the people on the street, her family. She is disconnected, yet when an elderly man dropped his groceries, she was the only one who helped him. Little did she know that one decision, that moment of kindness, the overwhelming need to make sure he wasn't as alone as she was, would change her life. Gabriel is struggling. He is pissed at the world, wallowing in his failures. He is trying to run the car repair shop that has been in his family for generations. His grandfather, who raised him, cared for him, is getting older and breaking body parts while being intimate with younger women. All Gabriel knows is the underlying rage and anger, the gut feeling that he can't trust himself, his desires.

Airicka has written a haunting tale that will leave you laughing out loud, wanting to sob and hold the characters close, take a cold shower because oh my greatness it will be steamy! This isn't a quick, spank bank story. It will draw you out, pull out secret desires you didn't realize were lurking under the surface. It's refreshing to have a story where one partner isn't sleeping with anyone/everyone. There isn't an obvious imbalance between Ali/Gabriel. They are two damaged, hurting people with a chance.

Steamy, Funny, Sweet

The Voyeur Next Door is... Something I can't even find words to describe. There are scenes in the book that can only be described with expletives! It's definitely a book that leaves you brain-numb from the shere awesomeness of it. That... and those steamy scenes that create the need for a cold shower! Airicka can definitely write some hot scenes! But there was also humor, a touch of sadness, & a bit of heart warming also. All of that coupled with the fact Airicka has a way of writing that really draws you into the story, makes for an amazing book. Being the first book by her I've read, I wasn't sure what to expect and was quite surprised! But definitely not disappointed.

This is an amazing read !! It is so hard to find a romance book that you can enjoy the steamy sex and laugh out loud humor all in one. When I started reading this story I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I went in with a totally different idea in my head about how this book would be and ended up getting my mind blown. This is my first read by Airicka Phoenix but it will not be my last. The writing in the story was perfect and the story-line flowed perfect. I will be recommending this book to friends.
